No Award for Machinima at Ottawa Festival
As stated on the festival's site, the jury of this year's Ottawa animation festival was not rewarding a price to the machinima category. The machinima category was introduced this year and consisted of 3 movies and one series.
However, the creative director Chris Robinson stated that there will be another machinima category in next year's festival programme.

The machinima entries were; "Anna", "Fake Science", "The Journey" and "A Great and Magnificent Empire". There is a long thread on this topic at the machinima.com website along with access to the films themselves. The Ottowa Animation website provides links to several winners in the New Media category ("Candy Venery" + "The Shining is 30 Seconds as Told by Bunnies"), so you can watch them and make up your own mind as to whether the machinima entries are as good as these two.
