FEAR CE to come with Special Machinima movies

Over at Machinima.com (with broken RSS feed again...) Ben Grussi reports on the game FEAR to be released with a special collectors edition sporting a couple of machinima episodes.
Given the looks of the game demo (that you can grab over at fileplanet) so far, this seriously is something to look at once it's out.
We'll do for sure.

ILL Clan's Frank Dellario has a Posse Weblog

So the IllClan's blogging now and we're glad about it. Be sure to read his thoughts about Character generation tools and the impact it would have on machinima filmmaking.
Seems like the community is embracing weblogs more and more with lots of filmmakers now starting their own blogs filled with thoughts about the medium and updates on their running productions...
We'll have a closer look on that in a month or so.

Go read ill thoughts here.

StoryViz Professional Storyboarding

I just ran across this nice little program from company Realviz that, essentially, was made for storyboarding but really looks like what some of us would prefer to be THE machinima toolkit.
Even though the price tag is somewhat above the "Hey, let's start making machinima movies!" line, it might still be something to watch, as it supposedly is the first serious realtime 3D storyboarding software. Plus, it has non-linear editing capabilities...

a couple of quick things.
Finally, the machinima.com news feed was added to the worldwide feeds section o the right!
You might want to check out the news about the edinburgh festival there, that Hugh and Paul attended last weekend.
Apparently their speeches were recorded to MP3...

Plus, a friendly reminder that there's only a couple of weeks left to submit your movie to the ION film festival!

To those of you residing in Austria, you might be interested in knowing that the Coolhunters exhibit is currently on display at the Künstlerhaus in Vienna, showcasing a couple of machinima movies amongst other things.
