//thanks
to the asthmatic for pointing me to this cool accessoire. And since my old bag kinda like fucked up, i was considering to buy a new one. To see it in action, just take a look here

currently listening to björk (really, most of the time), lamb, radiohead (only one song, need to get my hands on the album soon), rechenwerk (nice people from austria, i know them from kurt) and the usual suspects, nin, fsol, chemical brothers, bush, stuff like...

Today i met Carl Goodman, who is the Director of the museum of the moving image in new york. And since i might be doing a project for ars electronica which itself moves to new york for some reason, i think i'll have more to talk to him next time i'll see him around.

The other interesting thing i found is, is that the choreographer we are working with did his last piece with air. Yeah right, air, the french music ensemble... And it was like, kind of a hit i guess?
But, as far as it concerns me, we don't have any motion capture data we can work with by now. And he's the one who should provide it...

Beside, have i ever mentioned that i hate programming?
Maybe i should...

Today
/////////////////////////////////
//this
definetly is not art, but fun. check out hop-fu.
It's like what some guys do back home, except the movie is more fun and actually has some dialogue...
We've seen that at the museum of the moving image along with an exhibition of famous arcade classics and the coins fitting into them.
And, yes, here we have some more interesting photos. To your right side, you have the Time Square at night (again), a little boring, leaving the interesting pics till later...
and on the left side, guess what. This pic is literally taken in the middle of times square with absolutely noone around myself.

and, i guess, i crashed it.

/////////////////////////////////
//just
talking about the weird stuff...
in the left corner, the all famous lingerine football team battle!!!
in the right corner, the tightest jeans man has ever seen...

and then again, new york by night, 250 meters from where i live. 100 meters from where i work. Ok, it's exaggerated, ...it's 400 meters from where i live...

I'll go working now, that means, i'll go presenting the work i did so far, killing an xPawn with electrical shock induction...
stuff like that
:-)
Here's what happens outside on the street:
stay tuned!
the left guy's sitting in Kurts studio...

Hello World!
/////////////////////////////////
//now
this is new york. Come take a look outside my window:

And the loft i'm allowed to live in...

more to come, now some work to do

/////////////////////////////////
//ok,
so my ftp is somewhat broken and my luggage is missing. That's why the real messages here are delaying. Trust me, once i have my luggage and camera back, you can take a look at this sweeet loft i'm living in and get a feeling of how it is like in new york.
I promise.

//
first post from new york city. First thing that came on my mind. You should not forget to take care of your heart, of the ones that are deeply linked with it...

Enough!
/////////////////////////////////
//After far too much encoding, color correcting, morphing, etc. The movie is finally finished.
Yesterday we burned the first dvd, just to encounter a letterbox problem and having to do all of it once again.
Well, we all love machines, as they only do what you tell 'em to do....

And my Momo arrived, take a look:

Morph It!
/////////////////////////////////
//final final
finishing moves on nahsein. the dvd-inlay printed out fine, quite professional i might add since i've not been very content with the last printouts i got.
So what's left to do? Morphing galore and color correction rockers.
And the almost final sound mix fell into my hands just five minutes ago.
So, some screenshots to come...

//next
article for machinimag is written.
Anyone knows about the legal side of this? Is it ok to publish an e-zine with information you found on the web? And post the official screenshots provided by the companies described?
I hope it is.
And i want to have this NOW!
So maybe when seeing some of the screenshots you could get a vague feeling about what's going to be possible with next generation engines in the near future.
How much creative possibilities.
How little time to use it.
It's sad, isn't it?
Cruel, cruel world.
Ahhhw.
It's a shame.
Poor me.
Yeah.

//finally
someone at w.bloggar.com found out about the problem to post on blogger.com weblogs so by now i can post again the easy way, without navigating to blogger.com and clicking through the site to my log.

By now, the final cut of nah_sein is almost done, with only the morphing and some color correction left.
And I'm really off.
That was about half way too much running two major projects at the same time and commencing the next immediately after one is finished...

But you can expect a lot in the future. I've been busy in my spare time (!?) and work on a n online magazine for the new media form of "machinima" (yeah, i dislike the word too, but it gets better the more you speak it out).

Those of you who can't wait can check a preview of it here.

Should be released someway on mid of march.
More to follow soon.

nah_sein premiere announced!
/////////////////////////////////
//check out the flyer and film poster for nah_sein (be_close):

this is the flyer...

here we have the film poster...

feel free to tell me your opinion.
By the way, thanks to everyone who's been at my birthday. It was a great time with all of you.
And, yes, btw. I'm 24 now...

so, i seem to be quite happy by now.
Let's all hope for the good things to happen.
